Reliable mounting solutions for contact cards
Effective and permanent mounting of the chip module into the substrate cavity is essential to ensure that contact cards will continue to function properly over time.
Our specialty?tesa? HAF range is comprised?of heat-activated films with high bonding strength to different card substrates such as PVC, PET, ABS, and PC. These have good workability on all common contact card assembly lines and can be easily?incorporated into automated processes.
Conductive bonding for dual interface (DI) smart cards
Dual interface smart cards offer convenience, versatility, and enhanced security in today’s connected world. At tesa, we support you in the manufacturing?of DI cards, such as payment and identification cards, with high-quality adhesive solutions. These also incorporate features that help streamline your processes and improve productivity.
For example, dual interface cards need a reliable connection between the chip module and the antenna to function correctly. tesa? ACF 8414 is an anisotropic conductive hot-melt film that can be integrated into many commonly used smart card production lines without the need for additional cost. This tape makes it possible to embed the chip module and electrically contact the antenna in a single, automated step during the assembly process.
Card attachment solutions
Many smart cards will need to be sent out to the customer by mail. For mail fulfillment, cards need to be securely attached to the covering letter, yet quickly and cleanly removed by the customer.
Our card attachment solutions include?removable double-sided solutions for the automatic or manual fixing of cards to paper and provide residue-free removal. These are quick and straightforward to?integrate into automated assembly processes?and require only a short set-up time.
